History

Bring on the Rain!

Scenic Projects was formed by Nick Garrod and Martin Wilson in July 1996. Working in the theme park industry, but with a keen interest in theatre and awareness of the imminent release of the stage musical Singin in the Rain for amateur companies, they set out to design and build a stage set with an actual rain truck which would look great on stage, was easy to use and more importantly set up and of course, actually rained. With the help of Nick's father, Keith Garrod and the inspiration of their business partner Keith Sparks, the company was born and the product developed, raining around the UK to great acclaim.

With a great small team of people around them, Nick and Martin invested all their time and efforts into developing further products which were stunning to look at and easy to use, supported by the great customer service.

In 2006, the company going from strength to strength acquired the scenery of Stagesets of London and more recently after collaboration with Stage Electrics with scenery for The Producers have acquired the product of SLX.

Scenic Projects are now the leaders in the hire of high quality stage scenery, with 90% of their products being designed and built in house in the studios in Brampton, Suffolk.

The success of the company has come from the quality of staff that have designed built and serviced the product over the years delivering truly the best to their customers and their audiences.
