Transportation with your set.
In order to give our customers the best possible transportation quotes and flexibility, Scenic Projects decided to set up its own in transportation division. We now have a fleet of 8 trucks, to support delivery of our own products. Where appropriate we engage use sub-contractors.
We currently hold a Standard National Operators License No OF1000335 and our Transport Services supported by a dedicated Transport Manager Ryan Takman who holds a Certificate of Professional Competence for Transport Managers (Road Haulage). All of our drivers hold Driver CPCs which is now a legal requirement.
Most of our scenery deliveries and collection take place on Saturday evenings and Sunday mornings and most of our quotes are based on deliveries to venues at these times. Over the last few years, our volume of traffic has increased, but our prices have remained relatively constant and we have been able to do this on the basis of maximising the use of vehicles. Where customers can offer more flexibility with times of deliveries, we will, in turn, try to offer flexibility with transport quotes.
Our core business is Scenery Hire, but in order to run a new fleet and cover overheads of our vehicle, Scenic Projects offers its vehicles out for dedicated sub contracted work, pulling Curtain Siders and Containers Monday - Saturdays for companies such as James Kemball, P&O Ferrymasters, Bartrums Haulage and Barronwood Distribution.
